College Student's Glow-Up Skincare Routine
Location: San Diego, CA
I am a college student studying in San Diego, CA. A little bit about me: I love fashion, fitness, food and beauty products. I recently have been devoting more time and effort into my skincare routine. I have combo skin, that is prone to occasional redness and acne. My skin is always needing hydration, especially during winter when my skin becomes drier.
As a student, the stress of school can be hard on your skin. This year, I have been using the Aprilskin Calendula Line, and my skin has never been happier! It is easy to have makeup-free days when your skin is healthy and acne-free.
A lot of people have asked me about my skincare routine. It is a super simple 4 step process!
Step 1 :
To start out, I wash my face using the Calendula Foam Cleanser and the Dual Cleansing Pore Brush. This combo is perfect because the foam cleanser deeply cleans while the pore brush gently massages my face. I love how bubbly this foam cleanser gets. Have I mentioned that it also smells amazing?
Step 2 :
After washing my face, I apply the Calendula Peel Off Mask. I generously apply to my whole face (avoiding my eyebrows of course) and then wait 30 minutes for the mask to dry. While my mask is drying, you will typically find me finishing up homework or reading assignment. I enjoy this mask because it doesn’t drip off my face, and I am able to work on items on my to-do list while pampering my skin at the same time.
Step 3 :
Once the mask is dry, I peel it off. You are going to want to make sure the mask is completely dry, to ensure the easiest peel off! I think peeling the mask is the most satisfying part of my skincare routine. Peeling off the mask helps clean out my pores from all of the junk that accumulates during the day. This peel-off mask is great because it does not sting or pull your skin when you are peeling it away, it is super gentle, while still removing dirt and other particles from your pores.
Step 4 :
My final step in my skincare routine is hydrating my skin. After using the peel-off mask, I will apply the Calendula Deep Essence Mask. I find that the best time to moisturize is after using a peel-off mask because you have just removed all of the impurities from your pores. I let the mask sit for about 20 minutes, and then upon removal, rub in the remaining moisture. My skin always looks so rejuvenated, and glowy after using the sheet mask! I like to complete this step right before I hop into bed because then my skin is able to enjoy the hydration while I sleep.
